According to the San Francisco Police Department, a shooting occurred in the North Beach area on Sunday night, resulting in one fatality and four people sustaining injuries.
The incident took place just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Grant and Columbus Avenue.
As of Monday afternoon, police confirmed that a 23-year-old man from Solano County had been shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
The other victims, two 24-year-old men from Sacramento County, a 22-year-old man from Alameda County, and a 20-year-old woman from Contra Costa County, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
While police cleared the scene at around 4:45 a.m., a portion of Columbus Avenue remained closed overnight, and police tape was visible outside of the Condor Club at 560 Broadway.
The club's employees were quick to emphasize that the shooting did not occur at their establishment, but that they offered assistance to those involved in the incident.
Although authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident and not a random act of violence, details remain scarce as the investigation continues.
